First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested whether an injection of sterile amniotic fluid into the spine can reduce pain and disability in people with spinal stenosis who haven't gotten relief from physical therapy or medications. Sixty-one adults received either the amniotic fluid or a standard steroid injection. The goal was to see if the amniotic fluid works as well or better than steroids, with fewer side effects.
