New amnion grafts aim to heal stubborn wounds faster
NCT ID NCT07046767
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special amnion graft (made from donated birth tissue) can help heal diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers that have not closed after 4 weeks. About 165 adults will receive either a single-layer or triple-layer graft, and their healing will be compared to similar patients who received standard care alone. The main goal is to see if more wounds close completely within 12 weeks.
