New study tests better way to heal bone around implants
NCT ID NCT07032259
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests if a special membrane made from donated birth tissue (amnion-chorion) works better than a standard collagen membrane for repairing bone loss around dental implants. About 56 adults with peri-implantitis (infection and bone loss around an implant) will receive one of the two membranes during surgery. The goal is to see which one reduces pocket depth and fills in bone better, with less discomfort after surgery.
