Summary
This study tested whether adding amaranth protein to the diet could change the gut bacteria in children with overweight or obesity. Fifty-six children who had not taken antibiotics or other drugs recently took part. Researchers measured changes in gut bacteria and related health markers like blood sugar and fats.
