NCT ID NCT00647478

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study measured levels of two related proteins, IGF-I and IGFBP-3, in the blood of 693 older adults. Researchers compared people with Alzheimer's disease, those with mild memory problems, and healthy older adults to see if these protein levels relate to thinking and memory. The goal was to better understand the biology of Alzheimer's, not to test a treatment.
