First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether a fecal microbiota transplant (FMT) is safe and practical for people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease. Ten participants will receive the transplant via colonoscopy. The main goal is to check for side effects and see if the procedure can be done smoothly, not to measure if it improves memory or thinking.
