New bone-saving materials tested after tooth extraction
NCT ID NCT05902689
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested two materials—sticky bone and Bio-Oss collagen—to preserve the jawbone after a tooth is pulled. 42 adults who needed a tooth extraction received either natural healing, Bio-Oss collagen, or sticky bone placed in the socket. The goal was to see which method best maintained bone width and height for future dental implants. Results help dentists choose the best option to keep the jawbone strong.
