Summary
This study looked at two different breathing methods (alveolar recruitment maneuvers) in 18 patients who had both a brain injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The goal was to see which method better maintained oxygen levels in the brain tissue. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
