New respite program shows promise for stressed caregivers

Summary
This study tested a special break program for caregivers of older adults in Hong Kong who have no children or little contact with them. Thirty caregivers took part and were checked before, right after, and three months after the program for changes in their physical health, mental well-being, social life, and satisfaction. The goal was to see if this type of respite can better meet their unique needs.
