New breathing exercises aim to boost cough and lung function in ALS patients

Summary

This study tests two breathing exercises together in people with ALS to see if they can improve cough strength and lung function. About 34 participants will practice lung volume recruitment and expiratory muscle strength training. The goal is to ease breathing problems, reduce coughing difficulty, and improve quality of life for both patients and caregivers.
