First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether AI-powered decision trees can help general practitioners better diagnose and manage allergies. About 600 patients with suspected allergies will be enrolled, and doctors will use an app that suggests next steps based on symptoms. The goal is to see if this tool reduces incorrect diagnoses and unnecessary referrals to specialists, improving care for common allergic conditions like asthma, food allergy, and hives.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide GPs with a simple, effective tool to better diagnose and manage allergies, reducing misdiagnosis and unnecessary specialist visits.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage validation study with no phase, so results may not confirm effectiveness. The tool's success depends on ease of use and integration into daily practice, which may vary.
