First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving Asian college students personalized information about their alcohol metabolism and genetic risks can influence their drinking habits. Researchers will follow 450 USC students of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Vietnamese heritage for two years. Participants provide DNA, complete surveys, and receive one of several brief online feedback sessions. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce risky drinking.
