Summary
This study tested a brief, one-time computer program designed to help adults with chronic pain who drink hazardously and take prescription opioids. The program provided personalized feedback to increase knowledge about the dangers of mixing alcohol and opioids and to motivate safer drinking habits. Researchers compared this new program to a standard one in 206 participants to see if it was more effective.
