Summary
This study looked at how alcohol changes brain activity and feelings in young adults with bipolar disorder compared to healthy people. Sixty participants aged 21-26 completed brain scans and surveys after drinking alcohol or a placebo. The goal was to understand why people with bipolar disorder are much more likely to develop alcohol problems, which could lead to better prevention strategies.
