NCT ID NCT04864847

First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests a new urine test that measures a protein called L-FABP to see if it can predict acute kidney injury within 2 days after heart or blood vessel procedures that use contrast dye. About 450 adults with reduced kidney function or other risk factors will provide urine samples before and after their procedure. The goal is to validate whether this quick test can help doctors identify patients at risk early, allowing for faster care.
