Scientists search for clues to prevent sudden kidney failure
NCT ID NCT03720860
Summary
This study aims to understand why some critically ill patients develop sudden kidney injury. Researchers will measure inflammation markers in the blood, urine, and sputum of 100 patients in intensive care with sepsis, after major surgery, or after chemical poisoning. The goal is to see if specific markers can predict or explain kidney damage, which could lead to better future treatments.
