Scientists probe why asthma worsens at night in polluted cities

NCT ID NCT03406351

Summary

This study aims to understand how daily patterns of air pollution interact with the body's natural 24-hour clock to affect asthma symptoms. Researchers are measuring air quality and collecting samples from 20 adults with severe asthma over 48 hours to look for biological connections. The goal is to gather knowledge about why asthma often gets worse at night, particularly in urban environments.
