AI takes on heart scans: could it cut Months-Long wait times?

NCT ID NCT06061822

First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study will see if artificial intelligence (AI) can plan heart MRI scans as quickly and accurately as expert radiographers. Researchers will recruit 150 adults who are already scheduled for a heart MRI. During the scan, the AI will also plan a duplicate set of images, and doctors will compare the AI-planned images to the standard ones for quality and speed. If successful, AI could help reduce long wait times for heart scans.
