AI in the field: can Smartphone-Sized scanners save mothers and babies?
NCT ID NCT07171086
Summary
This study aims to see if portable ultrasound devices, guided by artificial intelligence (AI), can help frontline health workers in rural Ethiopia provide better pregnancy care. It will compare two different AI-ultrasound tools against standard care without ultrasound. The goal is to find out if this technology helps detect problems earlier, leading to fewer deaths and complications for mothers and their newborns.
