AI steps in to help doctors and patients talk about tough cancer care decisions
NCT ID NCT07147023
Summary
This study is testing whether summaries created by an artificial intelligence (AI) program can help doctors and patients with advanced cancer have better conversations about serious care goals. The AI reviews past medical records to create a summary of what's important to the patient, which is then sent to their doctors. Researchers want to see if these summaries are accurate, useful, and help improve communication during a hospital stay.
