First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether an artificial intelligence tool called Legit Health Plus can help doctors track the severity of chronic skin conditions like acne, psoriasis, and eczema from a distance. 160 participants used a smartphone app for 6 months to take photos of their skin and answer symptom surveys. Researchers then evaluated how useful and easy the tool was for both patients and doctors.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Legit Health Plus (AI-powered smartphone app for remote skin monitoring)
What this could lead to
If successful, this tool could help doctors monitor chronic skin conditions remotely, reducing the need for in-person visits and allowing earlier detection of flare-ups.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study without a comparison group, so it cannot prove the tool improves health outcomes. The results may not apply to all skin conditions or populations.
