First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study is testing an artificial intelligence (AI) system that uses contrast-enhanced CT scans to help doctors make better decisions about pancreatic diseases. The AI will classify patients into three groups: needing surgery or treatment, close monitoring, or routine follow-up. Researchers will compare the AI's recommendations to those of experienced doctors to see if the AI can improve accuracy, reduce missed cancers, and prevent unnecessary surgeries. The study aims to enroll 2,000 participants with suspected pancreatic disease.
