AI ruler for colonoscopies: could it catch cancer earlier?
NCT ID NCT06957015
First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests a real-time AI system that helps doctors measure the size of polyps found during colonoscopy. Accurate sizing is important because polyps larger than 10 mm have a higher risk of becoming cancer. About 278 adults getting a colonoscopy will join, and the AI's measurements will be compared to standard methods to see if it improves accuracy.
