AI doctors: new trial uses artificial intelligence to find your perfect cancer cocktail
NCT ID NCT05381038
Summary
This small pilot study is testing a new, highly personalized approach to treating advanced breast or stomach cancer. For each of the 10 participants, scientists will first use lab tests on their own tumor cells to find the best drug combination. Then, an artificial intelligence (AI) system will be used to fine-tune the dose of one of those drugs throughout treatment, aiming to maximize effectiveness while minimizing side effects. The goal is to see if this two-step, AI-guided process is practical and safe to use in a hospital setting.
