First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This pilot study tests whether artificial intelligence can recognize pain by analyzing facial expressions in people with fibromyalgia. Researchers will compare 61 fibromyalgia patients with 61 healthy volunteers. They will also check saliva samples for biological markers of pain. The goal is to create a more objective way to measure pain, which is currently very subjective.
