First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study will test whether an artificial intelligence (AI) tool, similar to ChatGPT-5, can help doctors make better decisions for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). About 1000 adults will be randomly assigned to either standard care or care where doctors receive AI-generated suggestions. The main goal is to see if the AI reduces medical errors, such as missed diagnoses or incorrect treatments.
