AI takes on heart valve diagnosis: could it outperform doctors?
NCT ID NCT07486271
First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study is testing whether an artificial intelligence (AI) system can more accurately diagnose aortic regurgitation, a heart valve condition, compared to standard manual methods. About 540 adults with confirmed aortic regurgitation will have their echocardiograms analyzed either by the AI or by clinicians. The goal is to see if the AI can reduce human error and provide faster, more consistent results, especially in hospitals with limited specialist expertise.
