AI eye doctor: can a computer spot blinding diseases better?
NCT ID NCT07249307
Summary
This study aims to develop and test an artificial intelligence (AI) system to help doctors diagnose five common eye diseases from specialized eye scans called OCT. Researchers will collect scan images and medical information from 2000 patients with conditions like diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. The goal is to see if the AI can accurately identify these diseases, potentially making diagnosis faster and more consistent in the future.
