AI flags patients at risk, nudges doctors to act

NCT ID NCT06806163

Summary

This study tests if a computer alert system can help doctors prevent opioid overdoses. The system uses a machine-learning model to identify patients at high risk and then sends alerts to their primary care doctors with safety suggestions. Researchers will see if these alerts lead to safer prescribing, like giving out overdose-reversal medication and avoiding risky drug combinations.
