First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested whether an artificial intelligence (AI) program can spot early signs of serious liver disease by analyzing a simple heart test (ECG). Researchers included 279 primary care doctors and their adult patients. The goal was to see if the AI tool leads to more new diagnoses of advanced liver scarring compared to usual care, and to understand what helps or hinders its use in everyday clinics.
