Summary
This study used artificial intelligence to learn the patterns of reduced blood flow to the brain during planned surgeries. 60 patients having carotid artery surgery or stroke clot removal were monitored with non-invasive devices. The goal was to teach AI to recognize these patterns, which could lead to faster detection of brain ischemia in the future.
