First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether an artificial intelligence (AI) tool can help primary care doctors in El Salvador make more accurate diagnoses during telemedicine appointments. About 180 doctors will be randomly assigned to either use the AI assistant or not, and their diagnoses will be checked by a panel of experts. The goal is to see if AI support improves diagnostic accuracy for common acute illnesses like respiratory or digestive infections.
