First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether artificial intelligence (AI) can help doctors read low-dose CT scans more accurately for lung cancer screening. About 1120 adults at risk for lung cancer will be randomly assigned to have their scans read with or without AI assistance. The goal is to see if AI reduces false alarms and catches more cancers early, potentially saving lives.
