Mushroom extract tested to ease chemo side effects in ovarian cancer

Summary
This pilot study tests whether a supplement called AHCC, made from cultured mushroom mycelia, can improve quality of life for women with ovarian cancer who are receiving standard chemotherapy. About 20 participants will take either AHCC or a placebo during their treatment. The main goal is to see if the study is feasible, not yet to prove effectiveness.
