Does your heart rhythm affect your thinking? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT04033510
Summary
This study aims to understand if and how an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation) causes short-term changes in thinking, memory, and decision-making. Researchers will compare how 600 patients perform on tablet-based thinking tests while their heart rhythm is irregular versus when it is normal. The goal is to gather knowledge about this link, not to provide a treatment.
