New study aims to empower young cancer patients to plan ahead

NCT ID NCT07174661

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether educational videos and special appointments can help young adults (ages 18-39) with advanced solid tumors or high-grade brain tumors start planning their future medical care early. About 50 participants will watch a video made by other young cancer patients and meet with a care team to discuss their wishes. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and helpful, not to treat the cancer itself.
