First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new bedside tool called Adjust-Unlikely to safely reduce unnecessary imaging for pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lungs) in emergency patients. Researchers will enroll 4,000 adults in Canada to see if the tool accurately identifies who does not need a scan. The goal is to avoid radiation, cost, and false positives while still catching dangerous clots.
