NCT ID NCT07676565
First seen Jun 30, 2026 · Last updated Jul 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether adding GLP-1 receptor agonists or SGLT inhibitors to insulin helps adults with type 1 diabetes manage their blood sugar better. Researchers will track 300 participants for one year, measuring changes in HbA1c and other health markers. The goal is to see if these add-on therapies are safe and effective when used in everyday care.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
GLP-1RA and SGLTi drugs (as add-ons to insulin)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that adding these drugs to insulin improves blood sugar control and reduces complications for people with type 1 diabetes.
What could go wrong
This is an observational registry study, not a controlled trial, so results may be less definitive. The drugs are already used off-label, and benefits or risks may vary widely among participants.
