New drug targets arginine to fight liver cancer in phase 3 trial

Summary
This study tests a drug called ADI-PEG 20 against a placebo in 300 people with advanced liver cancer that cannot be removed by surgery and who have high levels of the amino acid arginine in their blood. The goal is to see if the drug helps people live longer. Participants must have had at least one prior cancer treatment or be unable to get standard therapies.
