First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether sending reminders by text, email, or patient portal messages helps people with heart disease or diabetes refill their statin prescriptions. About 22,000 adults will receive different types of outreach or usual care, and researchers will track who refills their medication within two weeks. The goal is to find the best way to help people stay on their cholesterol-lowering medication.
