New pill may stop post-surgery nausea for high-risk patients

Summary

This study tests whether adding a drug called aprepitant to standard care can prevent nausea and vomiting after surgery in people at high risk. About 260 adults having outpatient surgery will take part. The goal is to see if this extra medication helps them feel better and avoid vomiting during the first 48 hours at home.
