Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a stronger version of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) could help people with treatment-resistant depression. Five adults who had not responded to at least three prior antidepressants received up to 20-minute sessions over 4 to 6 weeks. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
