First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tests a new adaptive deep brain stimulation (aDBS) system that automatically adjusts stimulation based on brain signals. It involves 62 people with Parkinson's disease in China who already have a Medtronic Percept implant. The goal is to see if aDBS gives them more daily "on" time without bothersome side effects compared to standard DBS.
