First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at how often acute kidney injury happens in people with liver cirrhosis, and what factors might increase the risk. Researchers at Sohag University Hospital followed 180 adult patients with cirrhosis, excluding those with pre-existing kidney disease or other major conditions. The goal was to better understand the patterns and outcomes of kidney injury in this group, which has not been well studied locally.
