Needles vs. long COVID pain: early study tests ancient treatment
NCT ID NCT06476496
Summary
This University of Washington study tested whether acupuncture could help reduce pain in people with long COVID. Researchers enrolled 82 participants with persistent pain following COVID-19 to see if running a larger trial was practical. They compared pain levels over 5 months between people receiving 8 acupuncture sessions and those receiving standard long COVID care.
