First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding acupuncture to standard artificial tears provides more relief for moderate dry eye than tears alone. 90 adults with moderate dry eye were randomly assigned to receive either artificial tears only or artificial tears plus ten sessions of acupuncture over five weeks. Researchers measured symptom scores, tear production, and tear stability before, after, and one month later.
