First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This trial tests a new injectable radioactive drug, Actinium-225 rhPSMA-10.1, in 60 men with advanced prostate cancer that has spread and stopped responding to other treatments. The drug is designed to attach to prostate cancer cells and destroy them with radiation. The study aims to find safe doses and see if the drug can shrink tumors or lower PSA levels.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Actinium-225 rhPSMA-10.1 (a radioactive drug injected into the body to target and destroy prostate cancer cells)

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a new treatment option for men with advanced prostate cancer who have run out of effective therapies.

What could go wrong

This is an early-phase trial with only 60 participants, so the drug may not prove safe or effective. Radioactive drugs can cause side effects like damage to healthy tissues.
