Talking therapy boosts Self-Esteem in students with eating issues

Summary
This study tested a program that combines acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) with education about eating attitudes in 120 female university students who had disturbed eating habits. The program aimed to improve self-esteem, body image, and anxiety. Results showed that after the program, the students who received the therapy felt significantly better about themselves and their bodies and had less anxiety compared to those who did not get the therapy.
