Summary

This study tested a type of talk therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) designed to help veterans with PTSD improve their social support and relationships. 107 veterans took part, and the therapy focused on reducing avoidance and building connections with family, partners, and peers. The goal was to see if this approach works better than standard treatment for improving social functioning and quality of life.
