NCT ID NCT07533994
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study explored whether measuring the activity of a gene called Acod1 in blood cells can help predict which sepsis patients are at higher risk of dying. Researchers enrolled 52 adults in the ICU and measured Acod1 levels within 48 hours of admission. The goal was to see if this gene could serve as a new tool for early risk assessment, alongside standard scores like SOFA and APACHE II.
